Default Superchips settings - really hard shifting gears

I just got a Superchips 3815 and installed the following settings below, but when I floor it and the trans shifts to the first gear it seems like it is very hard, like it stops for a second and then shifts to the next gear. I guess this is the best way I can describe this.

I heard that there is some hard shifting when this is installed but wondering how hard is it. Is this common? Will this hurt my trans? Should I change my shift points below?

Setting:
Performance 91
Rev Limiter - 6300 RPM
Speed Limiter - 140
1-2 WOT Shift - 6100 RPM
2-3 WOT Shift - 6050
MDS - OFF

Truck - 2008 Ram 1500 QC w/Hemi
K&N CAI

Thanks for the input.

Actually it is GOOD for your transmission. A certain amount of "slip" is built into modern transmissions to ease the shifts. This slip does a lot for the smoothness or comfort of your drive, but actually is not good for the over-all life of your tranny. SC builds a little more line pressure in, which basically gets rid of that slip.
Least ways, that's how it was explained to me...

The reason it feels like that is because you are hitting the rev limiter in between shifts and the engine is actually shutting down for a split second. Either raise the limiter higher than 6300 or lower your shifts. You typically want a minimum of 300 rpm between shift point and rev limiter.

6000 is good for the 1-2 amd 5950 is good for the 2-3. These are well tested shift points that keep you in the power band.

It's not like a brake line where you just get a better one... we're talking about the internals of the trans. You can change your valve body but it is pricey.

Yeah it does feel like the engine is shutting down/pausing for a split second and I have everything at max limits.

I will make those changes you suggested and see how it goes.

Thanks for the input!!!!

So I made those changes and i am still getting that pause while shifting to the other gear, but only when I am flooring it. It just seems like it's a hard shift.

Here are my new shift points, should I lower them more or lower the rev limiter???

Rev Limiter - 6300 RPM
Speed Limiter - 140
1-2 WOT Shift - 6000 RPM
2-3 WOT Shift - 5950
MDS - OFF

i have the same settings. at wot 1-2 it shifts smooth from 2-3 it shifts alot harder. does feel slight pause but when it kicks in it pulls hard. i tried a bunch of differnt WOT shift points and this one seemed to be the best. WAY better than stock.......

Save your gas, and don't floor it. That'll fix it.
