Mine doesn't have any kinks that I have seen and the 08 Hemi Rams have a different converter supplier according to Magnaflow and they have had to revise the cat-back kit which hasn't been released yet. Not sure about the 4.7L system.

what about cutting all the tubing off from the cats back, and then putting in an x pipe and running duals with 2 mufflers instead those 1 in 2 out things

in my opinion, 1 pipe coming out the back looks really stupid, need 2

that would probably give you the best flow other than dumping if after the muffler

I would like to see a picture of your Y pipe b/c mine looks like they took two 2.5 ID pipes crushed them together and then crammed them into a 3 ID pipe and welded it all up.......Its gotta be terribly constrictive.

Look at the Y. It's the same for the 08 as every other year.

Yes it is. Crawl under there and take a picture of it so I can see your nonrestrictive Y.

which is better for our trucks a x or y pipe and the guy who did my last car cuts it off after the cats and takes 2 pipes straight back wouldnt this hurt the scavenging effect created by a x/y pipe

So I got under there last night and got a few pics, here is the stock Y Pipe:

Is that (2) 2.5" pipes from the cats running into that Y. Looks really crimped and bad for flow.

Also, on the side: here is a picture of my rear resonator (which leaks, notice the hole):

I'm sure that Y pipe is a significant restriction, as are the multiple 90 degree bends on the left bank downpipe. Flowmaster makes some nice smooth-transition Y-pipes which flow much better. They're not stainless, though. Magnaflow makes them in stainless, but they look a little bulky which might make it difficult to position under there. JBA makes a complete stainless replacement hi-flow Y-pipe assembly which might be worth looking into, but it's pricy.

That's not a leak in your resonator. It's a weep hole to allow condensation to drain out. Some exhaust naturally makes it's way out also, but it's intended to be that way.

Yes, that is 2 2.5" pipes squished into a 3" pipe.

Now compare that "nonrestrictive" Y to a magnaflow Y. Think it makes any difference?
