Default Sorry... F150 or Ram 1500

Once again sorry and i know i will get a once sided opinion but i want the open minded owners to share some light.
I owned an 04 ram 1500 qc hemi with leather and all the toys. I sold it about a year ago. Now im in the market for a new truck and im looking for the best deal. I like driving a truck and all i tow is my boat and jetski. I plan to pay 15k or less. I want an 06+ ram or an 05+ F150. Right now im leaning towards the F150 because it seems i can get 05 lariat with all the toys. I can get a ram but much more plain. I think the ram is more aggressive and sporty but the f150 looks more elegant and classy. Throw some pro and cons my way so that i can make up my mind.

ram=truck feel..... f-150=police cruiser feel i always looked at the newer F-150's and especially the GM's as an old mans truck who wants to feel like their in a car

i own three trucks. a 05 qc 4.7 4x4, a 07 f150 4x4 5.4, a 2000 f150 4.6 2wd stepside. the two fords are work trucks, the dodge is for "personal" use. i guess i chose ford cause they look more professional to me. dodge to me is more in your face and like it or get over it. to me f150 says "eh" the dodge says "umph!" you can get a hemi, or a tria ton. i dont like the interior on my 07 f150, looks too fragile, dont like the air vents, but it was on sale, in the color i needed. again if you wanna blend in id go with the ford

The Ford will still be going at 300,000 miles, the Dodge will start to die at 50,000miles! The Dodge looks heaps better though!

I drive a lot of ford trucks at work. And the 7.3 even tho it can tow a **** load. Doesnt really pull as well as a 5.7 hemi does. I think I would go with ford for a work truck any day or someone who tows a lot it would be good. But I think dodge is a great middle of the road truck for like 80% of Americans

Does it look fragile or is it really fragile? (f150 interior) I know the hemi has more hp but is it faster than the 5.4? What are some cool thinks about the f150? For example i like that the ram sits 6 intead of 5 i love storing things under the back seats, 06 plus radio i think has ipod connector. F150 have anything like that?

the dodge is faster than the 5.4 the F150 interior is nice but I love the interior on my truck it has everything you need and you dont feel like you are going to tear it up. If i had the choice i am going with the ram because it has more usability in my mind and as far as work trucks i think they are the same my city just got rid of all fords and got new dodges for its work trucks what does that tell you

IMO, power wise..the ram wins, same thing with looks. But if you want to tow, I think Ford's can tow better because they have a more built up frame than a Dodge and a stronger chasis, I would say Ford would win the towing power if you had a competition between the two, that's the only thing I ever really thought that Ford had on Dodge was towing power. I really don't know much about interior accessories between Dodge and Ford and who has what and who doesn't.

The only truck I've ever owned that left me on the side of the road was a Ford! F150 bought brand new in 1997 and a piston cracked while towing my bass boat home from a tourney on Lake Sinclair with 14,000 miles on it.

I've got a cousin in NY who has had two Ford trucks in the last five years, bought new and both spent more time at the dealer than on the road, and the stupid SOB still sings the praises of Ford and keeps trading them in on new ones...

The only component in the power train where the Ford has it over a Dodge is the transmission...

i have had 3 fords and 2 dodges. anymore all trucks are built the same its all about taste. i like the fords looks but they seem to be more money. dodges are cheap and plain . but yes i own one just because it has a hemi. put a hemi in a ford and ill buy one. re-sale is better on a ford and in my dealings with bolth i have had to work on the ford more than the dodge.
