Lowering Kit on a 4x4

+1 whats the point? if you want a little truck that cant go anywhere off a paved road, over a speed bump, or or really anywhere thats not nice and smooth and flat, then why buy a big 4door truck with 4x4?? big waste of money imo. not only would it look goofy but would have a TERRIBLE ride qualty. like driving a log wagon, with steel tires. just my $0.02

I think its a great idea! Just because its a 4x4 doenst mean it has to go off-roading. A 2"-4" looks awesome. Here is a buddy of mines truck with a 2" front and 4" rear drop.

ok for 1.. I dont off road anymore cause too much goes wrong on the trucks... I went mudding once and had to replace ball joints. So im stayin on the pavement.. that and jacked up trucks really dont go with my lifestyle and choice of music.. and that white truck is SICK

Raider, you have one helluva sick ride. That white one is damn nice, too. If you're going to show, then lower it. Again, it's your truck, and we can see that it looks nice lowered.

MetalWolf, I just put a 2/4.5 drop on my 4x4. Removed the overload spring, added helper air bags, rear sway bar, poly bushings up front, and a set of caltracs. Works great and handles waaaay better. Had to modify the McGaughy's spindles a lil, but easy notching. I even dropped it and extra inch int he front and back with torsion bars and shorter rear shackles. 3/5.5 drop. I say do it man, it handles better then any truck short of a 4-link, and my CV axles are stil at an almost perfect angle!

If your not gonna use it offroad, I say do it. I still use my 4x4 for traction in the 1/4 mile, mud, snow, and whenever I might get stuck in the fair's mud parking lot lol.
