Default which flowmaster set up should i run?

ive got a 06 hemi with a kn intake. need some noise makers on this thing. Ive got stock manifolds and cats. I was thinking about one, 10 series single chamber flowmaster with a Y pipe with duals out the back or 45s out the side.

Or i was thinking about a single in dual out 40 series, if they make one not to sure on that one. And if they dont a 40 series with a y pipe.

need some help on this one, what u think?

I have an 05 and just installed the Flowmaster 50 series SUV, way louder than stock, but not crazy, just depends how much noise you want. Mine is a one in, 2 out set up. I love it.

Flowmaster=Dronemaster
Dronemaster=Junk.
Flow ratings are terrible, they sound horrible in the cab
10 series= no muffler sound!
If anything get the 50 series.

Ohh, fake duals= less flow put that together with drone's and you get the worst mod in history!
Flowmasters are soley a personal preference and have nothing to do with any performance increase. I swore on flowmasters and had them on practically everything I owned....Then I tried Magnaflow. SOLD. I'll never put another Flowmaster on anything I own EVER! The sound is just unmatched. Flowmaster is a hollow sound and other brands not just Magnaflow have a much more aggressive tone that is just unmatched by flows.

If you want a flowmaster then get a super 44 for loud. I had one, dual outlet, but didnt like it that much. Switched to a glassback single outlet with stock tailpipe and like it a lot more.

Hey Dirtydog,
Isn't the drone typical of the Hemi with the MDS not the older version? The Flowmaster sounds pretty good to me, and my mpg has increased. I am sure as hell not going to take it off now.

A flowmaster 10 series does not sound good on our trucks IMO. I personally like the super 40 which is what i am running now. Before the super 40 I had the 50 HD from flowmaster and HATED it. I think it just comes down to personal preference.

Magnaflow all the way you cant beat the sound its the cleanest rumble you can find and it also helps performance to were flow is a no go

The drone has nothing to do with MDS. It's something you inherit with any Flowmaster muffler!

The MDS does have an irritating helicopter type sound when it's kicked it regardless of the catback you buy. That's why i bought the predator to turn it off! Much better now.

On the cleanest rumble topic. I think by far Magnaflow and Borla have the best sounding systems with Borls out on top! Both have awesome flow and sound

I've got the FM50 HD, bought it and re-did my exhaust from the cats back less than a month after buying my truck new in '04. Bought into the "made specifically for Hemi trucks". It does sound very nice, especially after the addition of a CIA and LT Headers. I don't really notice any drone in the cab.
However, I've seen dyno's on most of the Flowmaster Mufflers. In most cases they flow worse than stock! Only exception in the newer designed 44, but it's still not great.

I'm waiting for mine to start showing enough rust to justify replacing it. I'm going to a Cherry Bomb Vortex. I had Cherry Bombs (the original glass packs) on a '73 Nova SS 350CI I had when I was a teen in the mid 80's. Still the best sounding vehicle I've ever owned. There are still better flowing mufflers out there than the Vortex, and even Cherry Bomb makes louder mufflers, but I'm not getting any younger (42 next month), I still like loud, just not CRAZY loud...
