I too got a pretty decent deal on my '07. With 33k miles (I know, a few), I got it for around $17k, about 4 months ago. Plus, the dealership was taking a trade-in that I JUST bought from them 2 months earlier, an 04 Frontier. I drove the **** outta that truck, took it through every mudhole possible, put 2k miles on it, then traded right back to them

As far as the 4.7, you '08 guys shouldnt even be allowed to comment, lol. Of course ya'll are content with the power. I would rather have gotten a hemi, but we already had the D when we got my truck, so I figured one hemi was enough (thinking gas mileage would be better for the 4.7), plus that probably would have been a deal-killer anyways. Im overall satisfied with the truck in general, its a dream come true to have a new, fullsized, nice **** truck.

08 4.7L here, and loving it. Seeing as how I'm only 20 and it's my first truck . . . I have no complaints considering at the time with my pops co-signing got it down to 15.5 and expected to have it payed off in 3yr instead of 5, except I wish I had gone with an SLT instead of the ST. But as my Sig says I've been a busy kid lately.

Maybe a SC. DSP doesn't have a 4.7L tuner yet I don't think.

They will help a bit. The DSP for the HEmi makes a noticeable difference.

if dodge made a stick shift half ton hemi i would have gotten it. otherwise it's 4.7L all the way. a 4.7L mated to the g238 is a hellish better drivetrain than the hemi mated to the all mighty pos 545rfe transmission.

I love how dodge is one of the nicest looking trucks but they all get the worst fuel economy in their class.........a brand new ram gets like 13-14 mpg city and they look awesome. yet the new f-150 and silverado get like 14-16 city depending on the driver....The 4.7 needs more power or needs to be re-tuned, I have an 02 ram and found out it only has like 250 HP and thought wow my truck is a bitch. I've seen cars that aren't even muscle cars with bigger engines. This tiny 4.7 works too much to move this truck so thats why it gets like 10 mpg and it's the most frustrating thing to me, I spend $40 a week on gas to fill it from half....

I've been using an app on my iTouch that tracks fuel economy on fill-ups and the prices and everything (road trip is the app name) and my AVERAGE fuel economy since December 2008 up to yesterday is 10.30 MPG.....obviously that's a lot of city driving but wow. The lowest I've ever gotten was 7.97 MPG in the winter (I was doing donuts so of course that didn't help haha, it was too much fun), and the best I've gotten was 17 MPG highway according the trucks little computer in the cab up top, which is probably BS. I have a fitch fuel catalyst which is suppose to help with fuel economy but I'm really starting to thing its best on cars and trucks that use premium gas, and I'm sure the ghetto eBay air intake that came on my truck when I bought it isn't doing any good either

i love my truck but also voted that i wished it had more power i also got a steal of a deal on it so looking at the time was just not happening with my 99 having tranny issues and 170k on it i just saw this beast and i talked to guy that owns the lot whos a good family friend gave me a deal i went with it also thinking 4.7 vs 5.7 = better mpg and i was wrong but i have to say its way more peppier than my 5.2 was and to boot it was black and tahts what i wanted im sure i coulda found a black hemi somewhere local but not for the deal i got so....with that said im happy with it no major problems to date but well see how she holds up and one more thing my mpg's arent that bad its a TRUCK .....
