its ok, i wish i had gotten the hemi, but the only truck with a hemi they had on the lot was ugly as hell, black and grey with a red stripe and black fender flares, should of got it i could pay for a paint job instead of a supercharger

i got the 2006 4.7l because i got a great deal on it. i got it rigth when the 07's were coming out so i got it on a leftover deal. Sticker was $35000 i got it for $22000 with no trade. of course a few months later they were offering the hemi for same price...
honestly i love the truck, the challenge of getting more out of it has become fun. With just cai, exhaust and programmer it has become a whole different animal. The best part of the 4.7l is it DOESNT have MDS............

I am happy with mine. More power would be nice but I think this is a good motor for a rcsb truck. Got a good deal on it in sept. '06. I wanted the six speed so I had to get this motor anyway.

The 4.7 isn't a bad engine, I've got 107k miles on mine and it's never broken down or given me any trouble. But when the Hemi has more power and better fuel efficiency, why have a 4.7? I got a steal of a deal on my truck, otherwise, I would've gotten a Hemi.

I got a redonkulous deal on my 4.7 b/c the on 09s were on the lot and the 5K rebate. Plus with 310 HP it really isn't a slug, way faster than my old Jeep. I never drove a Hemi, but I did test drive a 5.3 Chevy and 5.4 ford, and they were both slower than the 4.7

Not to mention that i bought it b/c it was a 4 wheel drive, 4 door truck, that I can actually have a conversation in on the freeway, has power door lock and windows and a clicker

I like my '08 too. Good power and the truck was $16K out the door! Could not pass up the deal! CAI and exhaust runs good.

I like mine too, but if I really would have done more research I definately would have gone with the hemi. It's ok though because this truck runs like a champ and has been very dependable. It may be a small 4.7 in a big truck but it has alot of pop. And with a few simple mods my 4.7 will destroy a hemi. lol
