Default Totaled?

Hello Ram experts, I crashed my 08 QC on Christmas Eve. Basically a young girl spun out in to my lane. My question for y'all is what is it going to take to have my truck totaled? And am I better off having it totaled or getting fixed? I'll try to attach a cpl pix.

Ouch! I'll tell you right now, if someone did that to my truck, they better be dead or able to run extremely fast. Hope it works out.

damage has to outweigh the value of the vehicle.

your lookin at:

-hood, quarters, bumpers, headlights, all supports for em, looks like drivers side wheel is crooked? which means suspension crap (friend did the same thing cost him over 1,000 just cuz he hit a curb), paint. that alone is what atleast 6500

basically a whole new front end, then if there was frame damage, engine damage..

given its an 08, the only way its gettin totalled is if theres frame and engine, but i dont think it will get totalled unless theres more damage then i listed which i'm sure there

Ouch!!! Hope everyone is OK. With that kinda damage, I'm guessing the frame has got to be tweaked at least a little bit, that would probably be enough to total it out? And if so, I hope they do, I've never seen a vehicle with even slight frame damage ride like it did new again, ever...

That's terible, and on Christmas Eve. Merry Chrsitmas...lol
Actually, that doesn't look all that bad as long as yourdriver front wheels assembly didn't get all F'ed up. I doubt by looking at that you have much if any frame damage and it looks like they would repair it and not total it. I would guess $11k in damages. Not enough for a total loss.

Wow, sorry to hear about that! I hope everyone made it out alright, even the girl that hit you. After all, it's only a truck. It can be replaced. An accident is bad, but would have REALLY sucked for someone's family to have their daughter die on Christmas Eve on their way to see them. But, I digress...

Back to the subject at hand, I'd have to say that you are probably not going to be totaled. It's a lot of damage, but on a $30,000+ truck with a brand new bank note it's going to have to have serious frame damage, as someone said before.

Your trucks not going to ride the same even after (if) you fix it. If you're financially able you might consider just cutting your loses and parting it out and getting a used truck of the same year/model. If not, then it's going to be a long, frustrating road fixing it to be drivable again.

Good luck either way.
