Yha, that picture doesnt do it justice, but thats all I could upload. The front wheel and assembly is sitting in the bed of my truck and the drivers door won't open.

The best news is that the girl who I hit will be ok. She has some significant injuries but she'll recover.

I have a sneaking suspicion it'll be close to being totaled..... just not sure I'll try to upload a few more pix.

See if this works: http://s410.photobucket.com/albums/pp185/wmichell227/

Thanks for the help guys! This has been kind of a crappy few days as you can imagine. This truck was my dream truck..... Fortunately I owe a lot less than the truck is worth, which only matters if they total it.

Yeah, that's a little worse than I had thought. I would be f'n pissed. Heck, I would actually sue the other driver for the amount that your truck will depreciate because of the "dirty" carfax history. That will probably lower your truck resale about $2-3k.

I am pissed, but the hospital gave me some nice drugs..... I just have no idea what to do. Crazy because I investigate these kind of crashes for a living, but after I hand in my report I dont know what happens. And with the holiday weekend and upcoming holiday I'm stuck just waiting for someone to make a move.

Pressure the adjuster to total it...the damage only has to be 80% of the trucks value to be a total and then it's the adjusters decision. That truck will never ever be the same...get a new one.

Im curious how they value it. Do they use "incentive cut throat price" or actual sticker price. Let us know what happens in the end and glad everyone is all right.
