Default Help! Part Number

Just yesterday i walked outside to have a cigarette and im admiring my new truck. Well, i have had for 4 months now, 08 1500 sport. Love the truck. At any rate, i look down at the 20" chrome clad rim and i notice a huge gash on the rim next to where the bead is. This gash is approx. 2 inches long and eventually the tire will definatly blow out. I have been trying to find replacement rims online now for 2 days and im not sure what to do. Because of the weekend the parts department at my local dealer is closed and im goin insane trying to figure out how much this will cost me. I have no idea how this happened other than i know i didnt blaitantly hit something. Almost looks like someone took a crow bar to it and tried busting it up. At any rate the closest i can get to figuring out what rim i need is the oem parts online, however there are no pics or descriptions of parts, all they say is wf6, wfx, wgw, wp2, wpa, wpm and wpz. Can anyone help!!! Does it matter that i have pressure monitoring system, 4x4 ect. im trying to upload a pic but im new to the site and dont know if it will work.

Im no expert on this but warrenty should cover this. If not, (id argue if the dealer said it wasent), contact Parts/Service from the forum here. Hed be happy to help ya out at a reasonable cost.

I dunno about the warranty since it look's like it nailed a curb and what not. The tire may also need to be replaced, depending on the gash depth. I would go through insurance with a claim if the warranty thing doesn't go through.

I don't know about warranty coverage on that... It really looks like you scraped a curb to me, whether or not you think you have. I think the TPMS can be simply moved to your new wheel - the electronics are in the valve stem.

Im fairly confident i didnt hit a curb as there are no other scrapes on the rim whatsoever, and i dont remember any sudden jolts ect. I know it looks as though it could be a curb hit i just really dont think it was. I know it happened within the last 2 days (friday or saturday) and we had no snow covered roads since xmas eve. Insurance is probably a no go as my deductable is 1k and im sure (well i hope) rim and new tire wont add up to that. The gash in the tire is down to the cords. Definatly needs to be replaced also.

A better picture of the rim would help. The one I just looked up, through a local tire store, seemed kind of close, but not sure. It was $225 and depending on the tire, probably another $150-$200, but it's possible your spare tire is the same tire as the rest? This would save money and the gashed tire would only be used in emergencies.

I found some for around the same price, and i also found some for $600+. The spare is a full size OEM so that will definatly be going on the new rim, however i might just get a full size cheap one for the spare rim. Are there differences between the rims for a 2x4 and 4x4 and therefore the price difference. im trying to post a new pic of the rim sitting in the back of the truck as the spare is already on.
