You can sometimes reset the throttle by turning the key to on without starting. Wait for about 5 sec and then slowly push the pedal to the floor. This will reset the drive by wire if you have it. (no throttle cable)

Maybe I'm being a dummy, but I have no idea what you are trying to say. The "dead pedal" is usually reffered to the foot rest that is on the left side of the pedals.
Whatever this the superchips you are trying to described...You lost me man????

I'm thinking a slow responding drive by wire maybe. Like a dead spot waiting to catch up when floored.

the dead pedal or dead foot people call it different but its the same thing. Its when you mash the gas and there is no response for aprox 1-2 seconds then it will gradually then go full out if your still mash

I've never heard of that before, nor have I ever experienced that. But could it be torque management that he is talking about?

So you mean in terms that your ecu is slow to the take compared to when you mash your gas pedal? Sounds like it needs to be on the short bus...lol

Sounds like you have an issue with your fuel filter or your pressure regulator?

Often times resetting the pedal does help response. Sometimes on a downshift it takes a second for the tranny to decide what gear to go to.
