If I could've afforded the insurance, I'd have gotten either an SRT-10, or a 2006 1500 Megacab. But my insurance is over $100 a month as it is. The 2006 in my best guess would cost me around $175. The SRT-10 would cost me around $3-4k a year.
Another one that I would've liked is a 2003 Silverado SS. But that insurance would be kinda expensive also.

I like my truck, but I don't like how it pulls my camper. After some reading here I think it's the gearing. Yeah, I'd buy the truck.... but I wish I had the money for the gears too.

I would have waited until I could afford a CTD, but maybe some tires and 50,000 miles later I can do it again.

I like my truck so far, and I don't have any real complaints. I've wanted a Dodge Ram since '94. I finally have one. My cousin gives me crap everytime I see him for not getting the CTD, but I just couldn't justify it. If I could do it over again, the only thing I would have changed was waiting a little longer and getting a new one for the lifetime warranty (assuming the lifetime warranty will be worth anything down the road).

Assuming this was for me, I bought it 6 months ago, used. Therefore, I was not eligible for the lifetime warranty.

yea, i didnt have much of a choice. my first truck got totalled by a red light runner (2nd time for the truck). so the truck sat in front of my house waiting to be towed and the insurance company wasnt gonna give me any money for the srt-10 hood. so i got my check and ironically found a qc of the same color 20 mins away. so i bought the truck, brought it home and swapped out hoods.

Since I was at the mercy of economics, I had few choices of getting a straight trade of my car for a truck.

If I had my way, I would be back in a Ford Superduty.

I really cant complain about my decision to buy my truck, it was exactly what I needed when I bought it back in 05'. The only theing I really regret doing is trading in one of my old pickups to get the truck, probably the worst decision I could have made but at the time I just had no where to keep both trucks. I also wish I would have talked the price/payments down a bit more rather than rushing through things.
