Default Need quick answer...need to buy now

I have to decide really fast ...I have a line in a good deal for a new 2008 3500 SXT. Question is, it has manual 4x4 shifter instead of electronic.

Are these better/worse/in different. I need some insight fast. Dealer is making deal tonight.

thanks.

Do you have to get out and lock the hubs.

I will ask but i see nothing in the manual about it. I downloaded from Dodge.com

Anyone with a 3500 2008 that has to lock hubs manually?

Thank again for all of your help. MOPAR sticks together!

I think the front engages automatically. The lever just eliminates the servo motor that engages the transfer case.

CTD...have one now and love it. Lets hope fuel prices stay low.

The only thing I am weary about is no Limited Slip. It has 4x4 of course but 90% I'm in 2WD.

Now I'm just obsessing...

Step 1. buy it
Step 2. Get it dirty!

Thanks.

The only way for the floor shifter to truly be a manual is if you lock in the hubs. If not, then it's still electric. The little **** mostly would be for convenience. Reaching on the dash is much easier than reaching down onto the floor.
Hope you enjoy it, be sure to post up some pictures sometime.
