Exclamation Odd noise under the hood

I have this odd noise when I lift the hood and can faintly hear it inside the cabin. It has been their for a while and I was praying it would just go away. Not really but kinda hoping because I dont pray. Anyhow, my GF was listening with me she said it sounded like it was coming from the serpentine belt, but I told her the belt wouldnt make that type of noise. I then checked the radiator fan and found there is a little play in it. I Dont know if this play is normal or not. I felt a buicks fan and tight as a virgin. Could this be causing the problem? Any suggestions?? The sound is a dull clunking.

Also, I changed my PCV Valve at 30k and just did it again today at 67K and it was caked on with the milky substance stuff were so fond of lol. It wouldnt even click when shaking upside down lol. Stealer wanted 30.00 Labor lol get real. Also this noise has been here for a while so its not the PCV valve thanks fellas.

This si your best bet to get help here. I mean it could be anything from your power steering pump to ac clutch or even the fan clutch. Having virtually the same truck I'd like to know as well just in case.

I had a Crown Vic a few years ago that I swore the idler was going out. Got to looking and the pulley was about to fall off of the alternator. Pull the belt and check bearings man.

+1 on taking the belt off and starting it, and run it long enough to see if the noise is still there, maybe 30 seconds

I'm gonna guess pulley or fan clutch. You need to remove the belt and check.
