I get quite a lot of use out of 1/4" sockets, I have then short and deep. Almost required for motorcycle maintenance...

You can probably do it with the resonator on there. I did mine yesterday and pulled it off mainly because I had to stand on the bumper and reach in there to get to the plugs. It just makes it easier to pull the resonator and putting it back together is no big deal.
no it's not impossible. i have my father's tool set (rip pops)...he worked at ryder sicne he was my age, and ended his days working at the dyno lab at felpro (i have a garage appreciation thread on this forum somewhere...check it out)
i have ALL the tools i've ever need, both electric but and [mostly] pnuematic...it's redundant...but, he also taught me to make things simple. no, i didn't need to take off the resonator, but why not. sure, u can pull out the plugs and stick them back in, but i crammed my air hose down there and everything. not to mention...two hose clamps and two bolts, and resonator is off =)
same goes for my write up about installing the jet chip. yea, u can just unplug it, and plug the chip in with the computer in place, but 10 more minutes and i had the computer sitting on my workbench and cleaned it front and back, THEN installed chip. it's just how i do things. and when i put my intake on, i made sure to remove all the now unnecesarry bracketry that's hard to get off. i hear people on this forum they put in their new intake and left the one bracket that holds the STOCK airbox in because it wasn't worth it (5 wheel well screws...phillips head mind you)...bs...every time i heard that it sounded like nails on a chalkboard (see the green area in picture below)...it's SO worth taking out..for cleanliness reasons.
