i know the manual says no plow for 1500's, whats the reason? i just some a guy with a plow on his 08!!! wtf?

 

For one thing the frame in the front isn't made for the abuse of a plow, the front suspension isn't either, and I read, I think in the owners manual, that the 1500 has front airbag sensors and can be thrown off by the plow.

It would sure would be nice though.

 

I see a lot of guys with basic push plows on 1500. no more than that tho.

 

yea, i wouldnt wanna do more than a few driveways

im moving to VT this comign summer, so i would just want something to hold me over til i can get myself a RamCharger or an old Pickup

 

I just starting looking and most big plow companies have at least one small blade for SUV/light pickups.

 

For snow removal i bought a polaris 4 wheeler with a plow.

 

there ya go, throw a plow on for an S10 or Wrangler! our trucks gotta be able to handle atleast what those handle!

i've even seen a chevy astro van with a plow!

a 4wheeler isnt gonna do much with over 16" of snow unfortunately

 

I live in North Dakota. Between the snonw and wind ive seen OVER 16" of snow and my machine took it out...wasent the fastest operation however she came through like a champ.

Has anybody heard of putting a plow on something newer with an warranty like the extended warranty, factory warranty, or lifetime warranty and getting away with it or the dealership not caring?
