I drive this trip just about everyday and there is a definite difference between yesterday and today. Prior to today's update, the truck used to drop to about 1400 rpms as I was cruising down the road at 45mph. This would make the truck bog down and you could really hear it bogging with my cutout open. But now with the new update the engine stayed in at a higher rpm and there was no bogging down of the engine. I would highly recommend this update if you have been suffering from the 45mph bog. I am going to take a much longer trip (about 60 miles) later on so I will update again later. Good job SC, thanks for hearing our calls for this update
This is great to hear bud! Can't wait for more feedback.

here's a new one. ditched the mileage XS to try the 91 tune.

Truck seemed fine at first. But after every turn on, after the first up****, once I stop it feels like it's got no power. like seriously, damn near NO power. I could floor it and it takes about 8 seconds to get to 30 mph. at some point something kicks in and the wheels go spinning. If i put it in tow/haul, then all is well. and once i'm up to speed, it's fine as well. what gives??

That's interesting. I'm running the 91 on my '08 and it runs strong. Is the tuner updated?

You may want to set it back to stock and re-tune it. Doesn't sound right.

yea, was updated as of a week ago. i'll retune it tomorrow and try it, but it definitely isnt right.

GOOD CALL ON RETURNING THAT DSP!! like I said before, don't take anyone's word for what 'works'. they could blow up your trans and all they would be responsible for is the cost of the tuner. with SC you got thousands of people NOT saying it broke something.

Even though I don't believe a word the SC guys say, and I think most of their advertised gains are crap, at least nobody has come back saying it damaged their truck.

They're considering adding a 93 tune. Don't think an 89 tune will happen, but you never know.

These are the tuning options now:

Mileage XS
87 Tune
Performance Tow
91 Tune

You may want to update it tonight. There's a new firmware and database.

By an 89 tune, do you mean stock? Because that's what these trucks come with is an 89 tune.
