I currently have the predator and i'm running stock tune but only disabled the MDS. I'm waiting till the summer time comes around till I play with the custom tunes. I don't like what i'm hearing about the problems the predator is having right now. Is there anyone out there who can recommend staying with predator rather than switching to SC. I'm not to smart when it comes to these tuners. I pretty much load their tunes and don't mess with anything else. I did run the 91 tune and wasn't completly impressed. I figured i'd wait till it gets a little warmer to see if that will make any difference. Thanks Guys

I just posted in the other Diablo thread. I'd not go into a full blown panic yet! There are too many reporting it to have it be a coincidence, but let things shake out, since the vast majority are NOT losing their trannies. It may be a certain tune, like the 93 octane, or with a certain mod or a certain PCM. I'm sure it will shake out in the next few days or so.
The only thing I don't like is that a couple guys are reporting that their posts on the Diablo forum have been deleted. That's not good! I heard the same thing when they rushed their LX tuner out and it blew some engines at first...

If you're only running a modified stock tune you won't have a problem...everything is stock except for what you change. I will tell you the factory engine tune is crap though. I use to get sooo much soot out my tailpipe it wasn't even funny...now on the diablo she's bone dry and stays clean. You might be able to get johan at diablo to make you a custom tune with just the engine performance and stock tranny...he does things for free a lot. Couldn't hurt to ask.

here's a new one. ditched the mileage XS to try the 91 tune.
Truck seemed fine at first. But after every turn on, after the first up****, once I stop it feels like it's got no power. like seriously, damn near NO power. I could floor it and it takes about 8 seconds to get to 30 mph. at some point something kicks in and the wheels go spinning. If i put it in tow/haul, then all is well. and once i'm up to speed, it's fine as well. what gives??

From what I'm seeing, and another site did a very extensive poll on this not long ago, Mileage XS is showing a small gain in mpg's over stock, but not much more than the 87 tune. The 91 octane tune is showing most everyone else what I have seen, about a 2 mpg increase in fuel economy - if you can keep your foot off it.
But I gotta tell you, almost 13 mpg if you towed any significant weight at all, ain't shabby. Don't know how much better you can hope to attain...

yea, 13 while towing is pretty damn good, depending on what you're towing of course.
