For it to be effective it needs to be pretty close, when they did it on mythbusters they were dangerously close to get the ~50% reduction.

Hey, what in the hell you doing over here with the big boys? Get your little teeny truck driving a$$ back over in Dak land where you belong!
You don't see me coming over there and hanging with the "Itty Bitty Truck Commitee" do you?

I's just kidding, gotta bow up once in a while, otherwise my posse over here accuses me of getting soft in my old age...

well i think there first test was at 100ft and it was still a 100% increase and they were actually driving the dodge charger which is definitely more aerodynamic then a Ram so im guessing you might gett even more at 100 feet with the ram

I don't know that I was dangerously close when drafting, but I was definitely inside the vacuum, you could feel the difference. Come to think of it, the semi was a double long Pepsi truck, I wonder if pulling two trailers made the draft that much stronger, like 4 or 5 cars at Daytona in a line.

BTW, hit a lot of traffic on the way home tonite, and no draft partners so was on my own and the avg mpg is now 23.2mpg after 80 total miles. Mix is about 70/30 hwy/city so far.

What are you talking about us being the big boys? We are bigger boys than they are, but I think you are forgetting that we have a 2500/3500 section on this forum. Not to degrade us, but their trucks compared to ours is much like ours to the dakota. lol Especially the ones with the CTD. I don't count the 2500's with the hemi because the CTD is the true powerhouse.
