I know the difference between the intake manifold and the Airbox. The Haynes manul for the 2002-2005 Dodge Pick Ups says, and I quote "On 4.7L V-8 engine, the IAT sensot is located threaded into the left (drivers) side of the intake manifold."

I have also read on a lot of other forum's while searching that on the older 4.7 model Dakotas that it is in fact located threaded into the intake manifold. Most of them have relocated themto the stock or CA intake tube.

Ok thats cool, like I said I skipped the 2005 when I bought my Ram's so I don't have any service manuals on those years....

I've bought 1994, 1996, 1997, 1999, 2002, 2006's so I am afraid I'm no help to you with the wire colors. Sorry.

RamCrazy......How much of a difference did the 4.56's make in your highway cruising RPM. I heard someone say it was only 300-400 RPm @65mph. Also, what companies gears did you go with?

+400-450 RPM at 70. I haven't pinpointed it down to an exact rpm yet with the scanner..... That's going off the tach.

I bought the package deal (saves about $40)..... Motive gear set with the master install kit for $268 from Moe's Performance.

Did you have any issues putting them in (backlash, extra shims)? Only done it once before and it was with a master install kit. Usually makes it a little easier.

Anyone tried any pulleys/balancer yet. I see that ASP has a Crank pulley/balancer claiming 27lb/ft torque gain. Any truth to it??

I installed them at my brothers Dodge dealer on a Saturday.... The 9.25 requires a special tool to adjust the carrier side to side... I didn't want to spend the $100 on the tool so we did it there using the dealers tool.

It took around an hour and a half and we were kinda goofing off at the time... I was there a total of 3 hours and we did the gears and the TransGo shift kit at the same time....

I have not done any pulley mods yet but my next upgrade will be going to the electric fan and getting rid of the mechanical fan and clutch... I understand it robs around 10 horse when the clutch is engaged..

Moe's Performance offers a direct fit electric fan kit pretty reasonable.

No, I'm 2WD..... Yeah you'll need to do the front too if you don't want to tear up your transfer case.

If you just do the rear you'll put a ton of stress on the transfer case and most likely break something and go through tires like crazy.
