Default Anyone used the Cortex 3950 yet???

I am thinking about buying the Superchips Cortex 3950 for my 2006 4.7 liter....

Has anyone used this programmer on the 4.7 yet? If so how did it work for you....

Thanks

I bought it......

It works ok.... I kinda expected more out of the tune itself but it will do until I get it custom tuned!

Looking at the cortex now. What did you think of it and was it worth the extra $75 $100 over the Flashpaq????

It has the same exact tune as the flashpaq. The only difference is that the cortex 3950 can be used on different makes and models (Dodge and Chrysler) while the flashpaq 3815 is vehicle specific.

It is good for everything it does.... It has a ton more features then the Flashpaq which I find very useful.

It has the ability to plug in additional sensors and gauges to add to the data logging it already captures... PLUS the tune can be swapped between same OEM vehicles!!!
I really love this!!! Flashpaq can't do that.

S/C is also going to be offering "Ultimate tunes" for the Cortex in the near future that can be downloaded to the tuner.

I really like the Cortex myself, mostly for all the features it does outside of the tuning. I strongly feel the performance tune could have been allot more elaborate, but what can you expect from a "general" tuner.

You want the good stuff you gotta get a custom tune.

This is the first I have ever heard of this and you have my curiosity. What additional sensors and gauges can you data log? I like data logging as much data as I can and would be interested in being able to get more info.

Easiest way to show you is give you the site dedicated to the new Cortex.

superchipscortex.com Click on expandability

The MSDP plug allows me to hook up a DRB from my brothers work.

Compatibility link tells you more about the onboard data logging it has...

It logs your 60 foot time, 1/8th mile, 1/4 mile ect. it also records your speed at those passes.

It logs allot already without the MSDP expansion use.

I'm waiting for the "Ultimate tunes" they are supposed to be releasing in the next couple months.

Check it out if your interested. It surpasses the Flashpaq in functions and price as well.

I got mine cheap so I was happy.

Huh, that's weird

I got mine, plugged it in and programed away.... never had the first problem.

It took a couple minutes to register my truck info.....vin and PCM serial number but once it read those it worked great.

I checked the site out and had a couple of questions. First, it says trans temp is one of the inputs you can read. Is that an option for our trucks? I ask bc the site says it is only for some applications but doesn't specify which ones.

My other question is that the site says you can monitor fueling. What part of fueling can you monitor? The site didn't specify what about fueling can be monitored.
