most peopel from what i can remember are not running CAI.. even so A CAI doesn't really lower the point of induction that low to make it a high risk IMO. I could be wrong but..

He's got insurance, he should use it or pay the repair bill himself. No way the dealer should absorb the repair if HE is the person that caused the damage.

The dealer wouldn't be the one losing out. Chrysler would.

Default Finally getting fixed

so went through a long song and dance with this, the warranty didnt cover it, apparently when they pulled the intake manifold off water came out of it, so i guess there was alot of watter up there, total damage was 1 thrown rod, with a piston compleetly out of the cylinder, another piston was cracked in half and nocked most of the way out of the cylinder, and a 3rd piston was nocked crooked inside the cylinder... sent it over to insurance and they spent aboout 3 weeks investigating it and finaly decided to send a check to the dealership to cover the repair, so i ordered the new motor last monday and i should be gatting my truck back in a week or so more

Accidents happen and that's what you pay insurance for. I'm glad to hear your being covered and stitched back together!

At least you/your insurance paid for it. There's no reason anybody should ask Chrysler to pay for something they did, even if it was an accident.

The "get anything you can get for free" approach is what makes them less accepting of mods when something breaks that is their fault.
