Help Threw a Rod
Hey that's perfect. He drives the truck through a flooded area, deeper than he thought and HE causes the damage. You think the dealer should be on the hook for his flawed thinking?
He's got insurance, he should use it or pay the repair bill himself. No way the dealer should absorb the repair if HE is the person that caused the damage.

The dealer wouldn't be the one losing out. Chrysler would.
so no it didnt have a cai it has a airaid filter and tube upgrade with stock air box (goal was to try and avoid this sort of thing) but im takin it in to dealership on saturday to drop it off and see what they say, and if all else fails will call insurance next week, but cylinders were dry when i checked, plugs were just covered in oil so who knows whats goin on with this truck
so went through a long song and dance with this, the warranty didnt cover it, apparently when they pulled the intake manifold off water came out of it, so i guess there was alot of watter up there, total damage was 1 thrown rod, with a piston compleetly out of the cylinder, another piston was cracked in half and nocked most of the way out of the cylinder, and a 3rd piston was nocked crooked inside the cylinder... sent it over to insurance and they spent aboout 3 weeks investigating it and finaly decided to send a check to the dealership to cover the repair, so i ordered the new motor last monday and i should be gatting my truck back in a week or so more
At least you/your insurance paid for it. There's no reason anybody should ask Chrysler to pay for something they did, even if it was an accident.
