Unhappy Help Threw a Rod

all right so i had my truck out, and here in washington there was a lot of flooding a few weeks back, but i drove through some water that ended up being alot deeper than i thought it was and alot deeper than my 4x4 06 could handle long story short the motor stalled out so i took out the air filter dired it out and got the truck started again after a few hours of letting it sit, once it started the truck was blowing blue/grey smoke and missfiring like all hell got it home about 3 miles, pulled the plugs, and dried out the cylinders as best as i could, then went to change the oil and realized it wasnt holding any it was all coming out through a hole in the front of the oil pan, so im pretty shure my rings are fried and i threw a rod through the oil pan, any one have any ideas on what this will cost to fix, any help yall could offer would be great

1 thing you didnt mention at all is the knocking sound you would hear if the engine threw a rod...was it knocking at all?

If it's a legitimate accident, like you weren't out off the pavement screwing around, your insurance should cover it... You better hope it does cause an engine and install is gonna be major bucks!!!

it was nocking but it was hard to tell because the truck was running so rough you could hardly hear anything, rpm's were fluctuating if you tried to idle it it was going 500-3000, i got all the equipment i need to rebuild it if it comes down to the i will just leave it broken when i got on deployment in a few months and come back and spend around 6-10k on fixing it up but im hoping it doesnt have to go that far

i got an optimistic, but probably wrong theory. take a look a tthe hole, is it an innie or an outie? i mean does it look like a rod came out of the hole, or maybe somthing punched it in?
