Default Another New guy with a new Toy

Well I figured I would post this here as well. I have just recently bought this. 2006 6 speed, only had 11000 miles on it and only paid 9700 for it. Let me know what you think.

Thanks for the welcomes. Yes the Modding will be coming....Also if anyone needs help with audio let me know, I did Pro Audio competitions for 6 years, I'm not the best by know means but I can hold my own....

I know our trucks are not a power house, but what the best aftermerket bolts-on. Like Throttle body, exhaust, super charger/turbo charger, etc. What are the known aftermarket sites for our vehicles....

As for Mods the first thing I am going to get is a Truxedo Bed Cover. Then it is kinda in the air for what comes next...... Thanks aagain for the welcomes amd the compliments. I should be a regular her as well....

I have bought stuff from http://www.autoanything.com and www.airram.com
I got my Jet chip from autoanything, if you google there are some coupons online for autoanything. Airram has good prices on e-fans, headers, and other mods for out trucks. Also if you are looking for an intake check out the spectre. It is listed on autoanything and airram, and airram gives you the info on what you need to make it work on the 3.7 since it's for the 5.7. You could also try this one which is a knockoff of the spectre, aem, mopar intakes for a lot less http://www.autopartswarehouse.com/de...V4401181K.html
I have put a Jet stage 1 chip, spectre CAI, power wire, jet stream scoop, and NGK iridium plugs on my truck so far. Any more questions just ask.

it helped mpg like a bunch in the city...on the highway it went down, 2mpg, but 2mpg gain more in the city made up for that.

you'll learn that your v6 will do awful on gas mileage...every mod i've done has only made me get better mpg...by making the truck more efficient and making the v6 work a lot less.

but to answer your question "why"....torque...

The 4.56 gears give better butt dyno feel and quicker acceleration from 0-60, but reduce actual horsepower to the wheel. The gears are a pretty expensive mod, plus your powertrain warranty is gone if you change them out isn't it?

i like the rims, 20s?
performance is the very first thing every V6 owner does here. cold air intake is one of the easiest and cheapest way for a good performance boost. i bought mine from ebay and i have no complaints. I think there were other people who bought the same one but i havent seen them on this forum. here is the one i have-

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/06-DO...Q5fAccessories

the one above is the full cold air intake with a K&N air filter meaning it connects straight to the throtle body and goes to the bumper. that is the top line one for $80 but if you look at other intakes from the same seller they can get as cheap as $25 if you go with a different brand filter and a shorter one that connects up to only the box with 3.7 on it
