when i switched out my 3.55 to 4.10 in the dakota price was 1600 for everything. gears, bearing kit, axle seals, lube, labor. two day job for my truck. and it came with a 36000 mile guarantee
just went to airram.com made a package and its 1600 for everything including a auburn in the back.. some im going to take that quote up to 4wheelparts and try to talk them down some.
Why don't you just take that quote to airram and have them do the work? They are in the Dallas area.

I talked 4wheelparts tonight and they want 1800 for them to redue the gears to 4.56 is that ridiculous or what... that includes everything but does anyone know a good place to get this done in the dallas/Ft worth area?
Get some price quotes from other places. I was quoted over two grand for my gears and Detroit Tru Trac and talked them down to about $1600 plus tax.
4 wheel parts always quotes high, but they will price match. Just print some prices from online and bring them in with you.
Superdak, where did you go to get your gears installed? I want to get 4.56 and a Truetrac installed, but I don't really know of any places in CT that are experienced with gear swaps.
