What I want to do is cut off my muffler, and put on another muffler. If it's si/do, then I'll keep my exhaust on, but if it's si/so, then I'd just take off my exhaust, and then store it. I love the way that it looks on my truck, it's so sweet. But I want something louder, and without straight pipes.
i like the 50hd just thinking i should try something new. i have si/do.

Well, most anything would be better than my 29" long 70 series. lol
Just be sure you never get one of those. It has a nice rumble, but it's not really that loud. It should be so much louder.

You've got a sweet truck for a +40 year old!!! Most +40 year old guys I know have japanese cars/bone stock trucks.

Anyways...does anyone know what the difference is between the 40 series and the 44 series?...Is the 44 series new and which one would you recommend?

the 44 is slightly louder than the 40. its a new muff they came out with that is smaler in design so it would fit in tight places. i have the original 40 series ( not the super/deltaflow) its loud an di love it. its drones like crazy but i love it. my bro in law has the 50hd on his hemi and its too tame. has a nice rumble but not really aggressive. if your going to switch your 40 to a 50 you mine as well get a magnaflow same tame sound (unless you get a 14 inch magnaflow, the 18/22 are soo quiet) but will last longer. i personally am going to switch mine to a aero3030 muff, just hoping its louder than my 40 its tough to say from youtube vids.

if your like me i love it loud all the time.

my 40 doesn't drone enough in my opinion. Even with the resonator removed. If I can hear my wife still talking, it's not loud enough.

Make the hemi a wife/girlfriend free zone. Now you dont have to worry about talking to her!

I also have a super 40 on mine. A little loud but sound really nice. Droans like a bitch though...would be better if it wasn't dumped in front of the rear axle.
