Final Gear Questions
After some research I finally decided on getting some Yukon 4.56 gears and a moes performance master install kit. Is there anything else I need to get or need to know before I order these? I am kind of tight on money right now so I just want to be sure thanks
2WD? Then no, just a ring & pinion and a master install kit. Oh, and a good installer... and I'm assuming you or your installer would know you'll kinda need gear oil & RTV, twice! Once now and once after your 500 mile break-in...

Yes, but I'd consider replacing it with an Auburn Gear LSD at the time of the gear install. You probably won't get charged any additional labor if you do it then, and the factory LSD is a KNOWN time bomb. If/when it goes, odds are it will take your nice new 4.56s out with it.
Plus, if you are doing the gear change for "off the line", the Auburn will "hook up" a hundred times better than the stock LSD...

The only thing I notice on my Jeep is the backlash. You get a clunk when starting out and when shifting in lower gears. Not a big deal though, you learn to drive differently so it doesn't do it.
they aren't. auburn and dtt aren't lockers, they are limited slips just like the factory unit, but they are better, and not grenades either
Grasshopper, you are learning well...
