Default Anyone elses had their insurance spike??

I just got my Geico renewal and was shocked at how much my insurance went up.....

Anyone else experienced this?

Both my wife and I have spotless driving records and I hold a Class A CDL license so I can't figure it out myself....

I called Geico and asked and they give me some lame excuse that all of their rates have gone up due to all the people driving around without insurance right now and the claims their causing.....

I usually pay $550 every 6 months for three vehicles with full coverage...... 2004 Ford Expedition, 2004 Mercury Grand Marquis, and my 2006 Dodge Ram. And my Ram is only driven maybe once a week.... I have it listed as "Pleasure" use and 5000 miles a year and it still went up.....

My Mercury went up the most at $110.

Just wondering if anyone else has seen their insurance go up

Thanks

Geico Has jacked up there rates on everyone I ever knew who actually had them, Including me. I went from $212 for six months of Full coverage to $470in one renewal period. That was about 2 years ago. I since switched and haven't looked back.

Oh yall are going to hate me...
My last term was 62.47/mo (ins on my apt and 06 colbalt)
My rates went up a dollar a month... just under...
I pay 55/mo full coverage 0 deduct on my Chevy, I was quoted a total of 117.84/mo for my Ram and Chevy together full coverage 0 deduct... that is for my Chevy, Ram and Renters ins...

I have had 1 accident on my record, and there is 2 on the car history of the colbalt...

My rates didnt go up on the accident either... and no I dont have Allstate (gags)

Edit - PS I HATE GEICO

Geico in NY raised my rate about $8 to a month to a little over $100, but my defensive driver course discount expired. Pretty good rates in NY for a younger guy with a new pickup; comprehensive and collision are required by law of course.

Great, I can't wait to get my renewal in June! I'm sure it's cause they are all getting beat with insurance claims from the storms and hurricanes, and then using this economic downturn as a lame excuse to raise prices. Insurance is the biggest scam known to man. You're darned if you don't have it, and darned if you try to use it!

Mine has not changed since I got this truck. $62 per month for full coverage. But I also get a discount for being a union member, so that helps too.

WOW!!! I won't tell you what I pay for my Ram and Town & Country then.

I get 6 mos of coverage for less than what you pay for two months!

On a side note...if any of you have AAA you might check with them for insurance rates. I used to pay almost $900 every 6 mos, and it went down to just over $500 by switching to them.
