Get a shovel, or a sawzall. Seriously though, I'd modify my garage before I lowered my truck. Or I'd just park it outside.

hahaha, thats funny.

My dad bought an expedition right when they first came out, and when he got it home, he went to park it in the garage, and it wouldnt fit. He had to spend 1500 dollars just getting a new garage door put on. (the roll up type gave him just enough clearance to get the truck in)

Agreed, Get an 8' door for your garage. You can do it yourself for pretty cheap.

Getting the door changed may be cheaper than modifying the truck.. and you keep the truck the way it is!

I have about 1/2" clearance between the top of the truck and the garage door. With a "speed bump" to keep water out of the garage, I have to take it very easy or I will bounce into the door frame.

is the actual ceiling inside the garage too low or is it the door because if its the ceiling, a new garage will cost some serious $
i would just buy a cover for the car. the only thing that would be a hassle is putting on and taking of the cover. or you have driveway room, just build a carport for less than a grand

Inside cieling height of garages is ALWAYS taller than the door itself. A door needs room above for frame work and roll up.

Maybe you can tighten your springs so the door gets pulled up a little more for enough clearance? If the truck just doesn't fit in height, it's an old garage and prob not long enoughas well or just too skinny like my bays on my detached. Did you check the length?
