Default cb radio help

Hey everyone, I am planning on putting a cb radio in my truck and I am not sure if this will work so I am just wondering if any of you cb radio owners out there will know the answer...
I just bought these two items on ebay (cb radio and a cb radio antenna)

http://cgi.ebay.com/New-Cobra-19-Ult...3A1%7C294%3A50

http://cgi.ebay.com/CB-Radio-Aerial-...3A4%7C294%3A50

My question is..on the antenna description it says that the antenna has a SMA connector that goes into the cb...does anyone know if that Cobra cb has a SMA connector so I can connect that antenna?

Thanks for any info

I checked a couple of things out.

Your antenna has a SMA connector and your Radio has a SO-239 connector. They are not directly compatible; different sizes. You will need an adapter; if one is available.

Also, magnetic mount antenna's are hard to adjust to for a good SWR; this will restrict your operational range.

On a positive note, here are links to a solid mount option that fits most of our trucks. There are two versions, a narrow and a wide.

Good luck!

where do you think I can find an adapter, and do you know how much they can go for?

I would go with a different antenna. Wilson should make a magnetic one, and its probably SWR adjustable. thats the way to go if youre going to go magnetic. I have personally owned them and they worked the best out of alot of magnetics i tried. it will have the right connectors on it. while researching this for ya, i came across alot of bad reviews for the cobra 19...just lettin you know.
