define normal. normal for someone who has NEVER welded anything before? Yes. Normal for someone who claims to know how to weld, and whom you're paying money for? Absolutely not. thats one of the worst weld jobs I've ever seen before (and i've seen some pretty bad ones).

You could go back and make them re-do it, because an ugly weld is certainly not a strong weld. On the other hand, its only exhuast and as long as its not leaking, it'll hold. Its not like it has to be strong at all.

Its your call what you wanna do about it, but yes, you definetly have an argument

That's just plain disgusting. I wouldn't accept it if I had paid for it.

im sure that shop has a reputation worth far more than $30...they should be willing to fix it or do whatever it takes to make you happy in order to not get a bad rep

Looks like something the crew was laughing about on "Two Guys Garage".

Wow, i've only welded once before, and I welded for 5 minutes, but I had two good friends I watched for a LONG time, before attempting to do such, and one of my friends gave me some good insight on welding, and when I attempted some welding, it turned out a HELL of a lot better than that!

That's like high school welding first day in class type welding...
