If you've got the 4.7 they will not only work, but work quite well. I got them in my '02 Grand Cherokee Overland. PM Pyro and ask him how well they work. Any cam higher end than that will require other engine mods and a tune. But I thought you were doing headers?

i am, thats why i am wondering if these cams would work, or would id be advised not to go with these cams if i put on headers.

also if i can go with these cams, would the stage 1 jet chip be a good idea?

im trying to find a good combonation of mods that will bump up hp and still be a good daily driver.

Yes, ditch the TB spacer and replace the Flowmaster kit with a Magnaflow. Better flow and will last almost forever since it is stainless and not aluminized pipe which usually last about 5 years on a daily driver.

A set of mid length headers will go hand in hand with those cams, as would a good cat back and a CAI. I'm not a big fan of the Jet chips, their thermostats I love, but I think the Jet chips are lousy. You'd be better served with a Superchips.

There is an excellent site that shows the differences between a 4.7 H.O. and a standard 4.7. I've had a 4.7 in a Jeep Grand Cherokee that was the ex's daily driver and the 4.7 H.O. that is my current daily driver. Night and day difference! They state only a 35-40 HP difference, but it feels like much more than that. You might want to strive to make your 4.7 into an H.O. The mods are not severe and the cool thing is it's all Mopar parts, available at any dealer.

This is a WJ Jeep site, but the engines are the same up to and including the '07 4.7 V8:

yeah, as long as you know that there are a lot better flowing mufflers than a FM, although I have a FM50HD on my Hemi, you're right, short of Cherry Bomb, it's hard to beat that sound.

I'd add a Superchips tuner to the mix and call it a day...
