What would you lift up with that crane? That's a little overkill. lol
We have a 5 ton overhead crane at work.

It's not all about the selection of tools....It's the though in which the tools are used that is key!.....lol

My house garage is too full, so in the driveway everything goes. Luckily my driveway can park 18 cars comfortably and blocking no one in! 30cars total.
I can use my 30x45 Detail shop if I have something major to do, but I'd have to haul everything there.

i know what a ton is smart guy. i was answering his question on what you use a 30 ton (60,000 lb capacity) crane for...the answer is a 50,000 pound engine.

then added on the part about the 5 ton crane we have for the 'little' parts, like a turbocharger.

I do some automotive work at home on the driveway. However, I work at a NASA center that has an "auto tech center" club. For $25/year club members get access to three service bays, tools, tire mounter and balancer, parts washer, etc. Here's the website for the club: http://mscweb.gsfc.nasa.gov/gatc/

I'm also in the Air Force Reserve, so I can use the auto hobby shop at any military base, although those are generally less convenient for me.
