Finished!!! I didnt have any wire with 3 strands in it so I improvised. It will work for now to see whether it works or not. I will mount the switch under the dash somewhere out of sight. I just soldered the resistor to the back of the SPDT switch...
Why would you want to turn it off? Is there a reason you'd want less power?
Cold weather is not an issue with the resistor mod. There's a temperature floor at which it no longer affects the fuel / timing. Mine is permanently installed in conjunction with the Superchips 91 tune (93 octane gas here).

is anyone making these or know how i think im intrested in trying this out and im not paying 60 bones that guy on the dak was selling like 10bones.... im pretty handy so if i could get a good desciption i can prolly do it myself.....

These are a few pages I found when researching making one. I haven't messed with the SC datalogging feature, But I think I can use it to dial in with the 5K Variable. Anyone care to elaborate if this is the case?
