rough country
Well after the break in on the truck I decided to spoil myself a little.
Im thinking im going to be ordering the rough country 2.5 leveling kit.
at $99 bucks and same day shipping I can't resist, I tried to look around the FAQ for some reviews did'nt find much so im interested in your opinions.

Local shop quoted me at $100 to install.
I have also heard Yes I do need shocks since I have a 06 and then some have said no you dont?? please clear this one up for me!

you don't NEED new shocks, but you'll bottom out your old ones probably even on speed bumps. Definitely won't be worth a damn off-roading. An you know that you'll need an alignment, right, did they include that because it should be a part of any level kit install...
I wont be "offroading" expect maybe a couple times a year...and nothing really crazy
what do u suggest i go with hammer? Im looking for something very fairly priced, in the $50 (per shock) range. Will I need to get a oversized shock or will just a aftermarket model for my truck work?
The price did'nt include an alignment. Im considering doing the leveling kit myself and saving the cash. Is it hard to install?

i used the 2.5in top gun customz leveling kit...think they are like $80 on ebay shipped right from Top Gun Customz. I needed an alignment after I installed my kit. I didn't get new shocks because my truck on had like 8,000 miles on it, but I can definetely use a set with the kit like Hammer said.
