I've owned a Chevy, a Ford and three Dodges. The Chevy was great-riding, fast, economical (for a truck), and the most unreliable POS I've ever owned. I had that truck for 2 1/2 years and it was in the shop for six weeks of that time. I could go on, but you said no bashing. The Ford was reliable enough, but a thirsty SOB. The only recurring problem was Ford put tiny alternators on 'em and it couldn't keep up with the job I had (start it up, drive five or ten minutes and shut it off. Repeat eight or ten times a day). My first Dodge was a 2500 Wagon that had 80K when I bought it, and 183K when I sold it four years later (needing a tranny). My Gen 2 Ram had 56K when I bought it and 98K when I traded it (with no money spent on it beyond maintenance). This Gen 3 Ram had 86K at purchase. Now 99K with no issues (the PO put new hubs on at some point).
