Default Complete CAI or MIT?

I have seen a few posts about the Airaid MIT the last few days and it has me interested. I had the True Flow XDI cai before and wasn't happy with the engine noises i heard from the EGR valve with the metal cai tubing so i got rid of it. I want something else and was wondering if the MIT with a quality drop in is as effective as a complete CAI?

It depends on who you ask, but I have only had the mopar knockoff and stock on mine. You could always try the trueflow kit that replaces the tubing to the TB, but leaves the stock airbox. Amazon has them for about the cost of an MIT tube, so that way you get the filter and tube for about the same price as the tube from airaid.

That is the route that I'm going. I already have a K&N drop in filter. I just need to get the MIT. I'm hoping the price will drop soon. $115 is a bit much for a plastic tube.

Hey Hemi07 I saw you posted in another thread that you already had the trueflow xdi, was that meant for me to see? I am suggesting you get a kit like this one http://www.amazon.com/True-Flow-3050.../dp/B0007W51QO

Well I guess that kit won't help b/c I think it's tube is metal as well. Did you get any mpg gain out of the xdi?

thanks Chambers...I think i want to stick to a plastic tube this time. If i dont get the Airaid MIT, i will probably just go with the K&N 57-1533
