[quote=04-fourseven;1582394]hahahahahahahahahahahaha... that is by far the funniest thing ive heard all day. oh man. quote]
Haha, I do what I can for the group.
I actually typed that, read it back, and laughed even harder. It's always a good day when you can crack yourself up.
And it is amazing how often a good Giggity joke will fit right into a regular conversation. I am totally stealing that picture and saving it for use elsewhere.

Good news/Bad news...definitely confused!!
I went to the dealership today, pleaded my case to the manager, he is going to get back to me later today. He hinted that maybe they can install an oem lsd and make things right by me, but I would have to help with some of the cost. He said nothing about how much they would cover or how much I would have to pay, but the service guy said it is about a $1200 job.
1) if the dealership offers me a pretty good deal $$ wise I am leaning towards doing it. But the major concern is the oem lsd. Will it blow apart in 6 months, a year? who knows.
2) I have also read that alot of people have had no problems with their oem lsd. And alot of people say that dodge has upgraded the rear end in the last couple years so my 2008 should be fine.
Maybe I should do nothing, just keep what I have now, save some $$, and be satisfied.
Maybe I should sell the truck, move south, and ride my motorcycle year round!!

The part number for the new LSD is the same that it has been since the 3rd Gens have come out. The reason you don't hear of the newer vehicles having LSD issues is that it traditionally has been a 40k+ issue, how many 07 & 08s, percentage wise, have that mileage yet?
I wouldn't even consider it, an Auburn is $400 with an average install price of about $150, so even if they dropped the price in half, you are getting a far inferior product at what would still be a greater cost.
I also question why you are returning to the same dealership and even consider giving them the first dollar of your money? They lied to you about what was in the truck when you bought it, they lied to you about the warranty, even telling you if you put a Mopar LSD in there you would be voiding it.
What do they got to do, beat you for you to take your business elswhere? They obviously already robbed you...
