Default What Brand Of Oil To Use

I have a 2002 ram 1500 4x4 and has about 140,000 miles on it..i have been using valvoline durablend oil in it and was just curious on what your opinions were on that oil. Not sure whether to switch to full synthetic with all the miles on it or not. If you have any inputs on which type of oil i should use please let me know.

been running royal purple for a few years. my motor was super clean on the inside when i put the roller rockers on. but this time i a trying mobil 1. i only have about a 1000 miles on the oil change so far. but i really couldnt tell any difference performance wise. i will see what the oil looks like here in a couple more 1000 miles. i also always use the k&n oil filter. now my oil changing routine is a little extreme using synthetics. you can let them go longer than 3k. but if you seen how clean the inside of my valve covers were, you would be amazed. my brother in law who is a mechanic helped me with the rocker swap and he even said that it was one of the cleanest he had seen for awhile. and i have never used any additives in the oil.

I got my oil changed about 400 miles ago with Valvoline Full Synthetic. I have no complaints. Anyone else use Valvoline Full Synthetic?

be careful with all those miles, if there is a lot of sludge and carbon built up, synthetic oil will desludge and decarbon everything and you might end up burning oil.
