Go buy a meter, when it comes to electrical it'll save a lot of headaches. Check the ground in ohm's and then the power with 12vdc. Slow down and start from the beginning, make sure you're getting power to the switch, test the switch, test the switch's ground, test the relay, test the relay's ground, test the relay's power supply and then move on the the lights. I've found it easiest to just start from one end and work my way to the lights, that is of course after I've checked the bulbs with an ohm meter first thing.

My way of thinking is if you have power to the switch and not to the relay, then the switch is bad or wired wrong, if you have power to the relay... Catching on yet?

So does this mean that I beat you?!?!?! I just got home from installing mine. Im going to go take a picture right now. I cant really help you too much on the wiring. I ditched the relay, went with 14 gauge wire, and ran it straight to the battery with a 30A switch, and an in line fuse. much simpler.

pics being taken right now...

What Im wondering silver, is if you grounded the lights themselves. You have to actually physically pull the lights apart, make your ground, connect it, then put lights back together.I dont know if not having the lights grounded will cause no energy, but it is quite possible. I looked in the pictures, and didnt notice a ground wire coming off of the lights, so I thought I would mention that. Seems to be the only thing that hasnt been brought up.

Good luck. I am very curious to know whats going on. I wouldnt be able to sleep, i would be tweaking on those lights till I got em.

He said the lights were grounded to the cross member. Its the relay. He said he cant hear it clicking and he has no ground to the relay. It will work when he gets that ground on...
