Cold Air Intakes

I took a couple pictures of the intake that I have on my truck, I paid $35 for the aluminum tube and filter element on eBay, $10 for the metal flexible tubing, $5 for the 90 degree a/c bend at Lowe's and installed it myself within 30 minutes... hey its the easiest way to get the same effect as ram air without having to buy a hood or pay big bucks!
Bet that will make you feel like getting ripped off!

Yeah. That is scary in a major way. I saw a picture of a guy who made a scoop that sat and picked up air frim beside the radiator. It was hard to tell if there was enough of a cross-section for the engine though.
by the way I was going to mention this earlier but I forgot, if you have a ram that doesnt have the fog lights, you can remove the black "blank" that is in its place and bolt the flex tubing right up to the back of the plastic molded part that would go around the light, the tubing is the same size. I did this for a friends truck and it works perfectly and you dont have to disconnect it in the rain unless for some reason you like driving through water that is almost 2 feet deep... I could do the same but I like having the use of the fog lights.
yea hes backed up right now, its a one man show. he could make that intake into a real business if he hired some people to help him get caught up. like the scoop that pushes even more air right to the filter
ive def. felt the power gains with it matched with my dual exhaust.[sm=gears.gif]

Thanks mill500, I just couldnt bring myself to spending several hundred dollars on an intake when I could "cheap" one together for far less... and as for asthetics, doesnt matter when your leavin'em in your rear-view, they cant see under your hood then anyway!
