Yea the whole drive-by-wire thing uses the throttle blade to control idle...speaking of which i'd pull the throttle body off and clean that baby good. Would't hurt to clean the pcv valve either...it's free so what the hell.

Has your engine done this lope/miss at idle as long as you've owned it? The hemi's do have a low in gear idle and sometimes it'll feel like a half stumble now and then...mine does it too.

NGK's work fine in the Hemi. You did replace all 16 plugs, correct?

Question

Yes I did replace all 16 plugs, I don't cheap out on parts. And for the miss it seems to have started after I had that so called machanic do my truck, but I went and gap the sparks plugs myself afetr words. but maybe it has been there all the time and I am sitting there trying to find something. To take the TBI off and clean it do I need a new gasket and also for the EGR do i need a new gasket? i was also wondering if I should clean the Map sensor.
But this weekend I am buying new plug cables and I will do other things you mentioned also.
I was thinking i may do a compression test just to see what the comp..is.

The throttle body gasket is reusable...most EGR gaskets need to be replaced so i'm sure the hemi isn't any different. I'd leave the MAP alone, odds are it's fine.

I'd just use CRC's throttle body cleaner, some rags and q-tips. Compressed air won't be needed and don't force the throttle blade to move.
