I have had two 2002's one a reg cab, 5spd, 4.7 4x4 the other and current is a QC Auto 5.9 4x4. The nice thing about the 02 and the 03 is they are generally cheaper (because of there age). I paid $5500 for mine with 85K, I had to put a little elbow grease into mine but I do not mind doing that. Be patient though if I had waited one more week I could've had an 03 2500 Auto HEMI 4x4 with 89K for $7500. I would recommend a Reg cab for your first truck. The QC is a big truck and if you're not used to it you are more likely to hit something. Good luck

Not always. In a 2wd, a regular cab looks better. But with lift or 4wd, the quad cab looks much better.
As for the amount of doors, it depends upon how much you need to carry, and how many people you want in there.
As far as size, it is not safer. You have misjudgments when driving, being so tall, it's hard to judge distance from bumper to wall, vehicle, etc. The size might also make it easier to merge into someone if you aren't used to checking all mirrors and looking around for other vehicles.
I'm 16 with my truck, but I have a natural gift for driving. That's probably my greatest skill. Truck, tractor, semi, whatever, I can always drive it. Manual, automatic, it makes me no difference. I left drivers' ed early because my parking skills were superb, my backing skills were great, I was a master at it for being 14.

get a hemi if you can, if not don't fret too much. The 4.7 is still a good and reliable motor. In my back seat its a bench not the 40 60 or w/e silver is talking about. It all depends.

arent you the just the greatest man, i mastered driving when i was just a baby, ricky bobby has nothing on me haha.
with a lift, it might be too much for a reg cab because of the short wheel base and large height but definitely lowered reg cabs look the best
as for driving, with that longer wheelbase its going to be hard to turn and handle sharp corners

Exactly what I was thinking. QC so the entire family can get in and go to the water with the boat. Although I have to say I do like the looks of a properly lowered reg cab.
