Didnt mean to call you out like that, I guess if that all you got in your area then thats what your stuck with and the Stealership knows this... Sounds like you got hosed on the sway bar if they never showed it to you... Check out the FAQ section for our 3rd Gens, its got a bunch of helpful info, I think theres a brake changin topic in there somewhere...

Its ok, I know it would have been a A LOT cheaper by getting the parts and just doing it myself I would do that anyday. After things happen you learn from them and I honestly didn't even think about checking out the DIY for the brakes i should have done that..save me 400. I will also get quotes from other places but if I had to have someone do something that I couldn't, I would rather have a place that deals with dodge vehicles a lot that way they know more about them (I'm not saying they don't try to take advantage of you) and the job will most likely get done correctly the first time. More than half the cost of fixing the truck was labor so that just goes to show how much dealerships jack up prices. For the future I need to learn more about my truck and how to fix or replace damaged parts so I need to start researching to save myself a lot of money in the long run.

Also on the sway bar thing, I honestly wouldn't have been able to tell if it was damaged or not because I've never actually seen it in normal condition. Unless it was completely obvious it was messed up, I wouldn't have known what was wrong with it unless the guy showed me where it was damaged.

True, man good luck in the future... Id suggest buying a Hayes manual... it has all kinds of fun little things in it that help when you want to get stuff done your self. Autozone or Advance Autoparts, I think Napa might even have them, but go to your local auto parts store and ask them if they have them, they usually will but like I said good luck with it man...
