Yea clutch fan's are supposedly the best bet for towing, but if you weren't towing you could definitely use the taurus fan. I patched in 10 gauge wiring to the controller for the power and the ground is patched into a 10 gauge wire as well. Going from the guide at fordmuscle I think they tested it well enough to show it can hold up with this wiring.

I wouldn't use a Taurus fan on my Hemi, especially when towing 7500lbs
Why not? I have this E-Fan on my 2500 Hemi and I hauled another truck from South Carolina to Virginia with it and without one single problem. I have never seen so much speculation that is based on nothing. Where are your facts coming from? Dreams???

Sorry to hijack, its just if people like me listened to people like you we wouldn't have airplanes and probably still riding around in horse and buggy's...

"If man were intended to fly he would have been born with wings"

Thank god the Wright brothers never listened to that crap.

The way I see it is,their are the people that think outside of the box and try new things and then their are the people that stand back and wait to either copy his successes or are the first to criticize his failures...

lol...no.

i am not really gonna put a ford festive fan on my truck. my camaro is in the shop getting a vale job. once he gets top end off, we'll see if it's just worth an new engine. so, for next few months, i probably won't even be able to afford to put gas in my truck...

Just filled up yesterday and mileage was at 17 mpg w/ the e-fan on for half the tank (all around town driving). My previous best was 16.6 with 100% gas and 100 highway miles at 60, so with a full tank and the fan I should be able to do better than that. I also just changed my oil to royal purple 5w-30 so that may help some as well. Now the manual says it takes 5 quarts with the filter, but my last/first change I put 5 in and it was a 1/2 quart high. This time I put 4 1/2 in and checked it after a drive and it was just a hair high. Is everybody else putting 4 1/2 in or is my dipstick the wrong one?

Which ignition wire did you tap into, for this?
