I don't think so. The Diablo is a solid choice for the newer Rams, same as the SCT. But get into the 05< ones and they don't offer the choices, mainly transmission tuning, that the SC offers.

If you are referring to me, I've pretty much said that from day one...

I wish they would get the 04's covered already, then I could justify switching over.

You and me both, 'teach. I got a cam in the garage waiting for a viable custom tune solution...

Well now I am starting to get ready for a cam install too and am in the same boat as you. If DSP doesn't come out with trans control I am going to have to stick with the SC and a cam that runs on it with a piggyback.

I'm not sure what the exact thread pitch & length is for your header bolts, but you should check these out. I've used them on a few different engine builds in the past with no failures.

EDIT: Found the exact ones you would need:

Same ones cheaper here:

They run lean and you would be terrified if you ever ran your truck on a dyno! Luckily with your LT headers it richens the mix out a bit.
I tell people that if they go with LT headers.....An adjustable tuner is a must if you wanna be safe and get all power you can. can't change most on a dyno. Diablo and SCT are really the only options in my books. and SCT is really produced for Fords but work well with others. So I'll say you need to dump the current programmer and pick up a Diablo for adjustability or just get a superchips if your not gonna do any dynoing and turn that MDS off. That was the first thing I did. i didn't care which programmer I bought as long as it had the MDS delete. Now if they can only update the tuners for 2nd prime delete I'll be a happy camper!

Locking header bolts work great. If you really want to go the inexpensive route and have the bolts stay snug, put two regular FLAT washers under the bolt head. I learned this from an instructor that has done this since the 60's and he swears he does not have loose header bolts. I never had a header bolt loosen when using two flat washers for the six years I ran them.
