I just ordered a 23285 from Magnaflow. It's listed for a 1994-2000 but John from hottexhaust.com said it should fit, they didn't change the 5.9's. Judging by the pic, it looks like ittl work, guess we'll see when it gets here.

running a cooler stat will help with power, not much. but a cooler engine is a happy one. i run the napa stat 530080, 180, also the autolite 3923 plugs work well in the 4.7 all 8 under 20.00 at walmart, having properly inflated tires help out. i run mine at 40 psi. just over factory specs an just under max tire specs, but keep checking for wear. as for my 2005 4.7, the list is endless of mods i have.

Default e fan 02 durango 4.7

so am I to understand that we can remove the factory clutch fan and run just the electric one or do you have to upgrade that with a stronger one?

On the durango I'm not sure how it looks under the hood. On the ram there is a clutch fan behind the radiator and a separate e-fan for the a/c condenser (on a separate mini radiator), so for the ram you just pull the clutch fan and put an e-fan there to cool the radiator.
