Default Questions from a noob

Have been a lurker for some time, but never post. So I have a couple of noob questions. I have a 2005 Ram SLT, 5.7L, K&N CAI, SC 3815, and Dual flowmasters

How do I know if my truck has MDS?
If possible, should I disable it using the SC 3815 I have, and if so where is it located?
Have been experiencing some slight engine surge when I have the SC on Performance 91 and I run 93 octane...any ideas?

Any help is most appreciated

Thanks

+1. Whens the last time you cleaned the throttle bodies? How many miles on the truck? Try pouring a bottle of fuel injector cleaner (from any auto parts store) at your next fill up. Seems like something gettin clogged if it surges.

Yeah +1 on cleaning the throttle body if you haven't done it. It's amazing how gooked up them things get. And fuel injector cleaner ain't never hurt.

clean the throttle body (check the FAQ section for the DIY) and put some Fuel Injector Cleaner in next fill up. I'd bet about anything that'll fix the problem, or at least help a ton

If it is your daily driver, and you just mainly make short trips, that is even more reason to clean your throttle body. The constant starting and shutting off of your motor is what would cause the throttle body to gunk up. lol, i think, from what I understand. lol

Clean the TB using brake cleaner. A dose of Seafoam might be in order as well.
