Default 07' Hemi, True Duals, CODE

I have a 2007 Hemi half ton with 60,000 miles. Yesterday I got true duals, 3 inch with single chamber mufflers. It is a cat back system and all sensors are in the original location. After driving the truck for a 150 miles or so last night the check engine light came on. I took it to Auto Zone and they cleared the code and said it was an O2 sensor. The sensor came back on today. The muffler shop said they don't know why the new exhaust would cause it to trip. They are going to look at it on Monday.

Any ideas? Does it need some more back pressure? Too much heat? or not enough.

What's the exact code that it threw? Since it sounds like you still have the stock manifolds and cats the only thing I can think of is the exhaust people might have damage an o2 on accident or maybe one of the cats somehow. Jack her up and look for anything obvious...look at the wiring on the o2's and bang on the cats and listen for a rattle.

i checked and everything looks fine.

I searched for the problem before posting and seen the fouler fix and i am not going to do that.

I don't know the exact code but if i get a chance tonight i will have auto zone pull the code again.

nope. The passenger side pipe starts about 5 inches past the last sensor and the drivers side is more that a foot away. I will go up and have the code pulled.

The code was P0430 low bank 2.

Possible reasons is a defective cat.
engine misfire
large vacuum leak.
engine oil leekage into exhaust.

I am thinking maybe it is a bad o2 sensor but if i put a new one on and it doesn't work what other options do I have?

On all vehicles there's an 8 year 80k miles federal emissions warranty....bring it to the dealer. If it is the cat they'll replace it for free.
