Default oil change

ok, the "change oil" message that reads out by the odometer has been flashing and chiming since my last oil change and i still have over 1,000 miles to go until my next one. it has done this before and the dealer cleared it by turning the ignition to the on position and then depressing the brake pedal twice to clear it. i've tried this and it has not cleared the message. when the dealer did it, i did not have my tuner uploaded on the rig and now that i do have it uploaded, i cannot get the message to clear. would my tuner have anything to do with this?

Try disconnecting the negative battery cable for a few minutes.

I think you actualy need to turn the ignition on then depress the gas peddal twice then on the second time you hold it for 10 secs. This is how it's done on my wifes nitro.,

turn key to acc position and wait for the bell to stop dinging. Then press the gas pedal to the floor 3 times and then start the truck. Your done.

However, if the ecu shows an oil change is needed. More than likely you have been hard or done city driving and your oil is in need of a change. I'm sure that 1kmi won't hurt anything. Just check the level.
